Where are we?

Cnr. Bellarine Hwy & Ash Rd, Leopold, with ample off-street parking. The number 32 bus stops right outside (stop #8).

What to expect?

Leopold Uniting Church (LUC) is a community of ordinary people who do their best to follow, and help one another to follow, the life-giving way of Jesus of Nazareth. The congregation’s mission is to be a church in and for the community, journeying together toward a common vision. LUC invites you to come and be a part of that journey.

What do we offer on Sunday morning?

The hour-long service starts at 10.00 a.m, with optional pre-service singing at 9:45.  Although our worship services follow a traditional pattern of liturgy, contemporary songs and interactions are common features of our services.

The sanctuary is  bright, with comfortable chairs instead of hard pews, and is air conditioned for your comfort, winter or summer.  The wide doors and the absence of steps allows ease of access for disabled persons.

After the service, all are invited to a time of fellowship (tea, coffee and biscuits available). This is an opportunity for people to meet and greet each other, reflect on the church service and to catch up on the events of their week.

How often do we have Communion?

We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month. We extend an open invitation to anyone who may want to receive Communion, including children.  If you have any enquiries regarding this, feel free to contact the minister for conversation.

What do I wear?

Suits and dresses, business, casual, shorts and t-shirts; you will see a wide variety of clothing on a wide variety of people of all ages.

What about my children?

Children are most welcome to stay with their parents during worship. There is a children’s message during the service and other age appropriate activities are provided  for the children to enjoy within the sanctuary during the rest of the service.

Do we perform baptism, weddings and funerals?

Yes, all of these are available to non-members as well as members. The church is comfortably set up for 110 people, but an additional 50 can be accommodated when extra seating is put into place.   Click here for more
